The new OMEGA subminiature connectors are ideal for use with fine gage thermocouple wire in applications where high temperatures are required. The SHX connector is permanently dot coded to conform to ANSI and OMEGA standards; for applications such as high vacuum furnaces where contamination would adversely affect the process. One piece ceramic construction assures long life while the oversized terminal screws allow for easy wiring. Temperature is limited only by the hardware. Chromega-Alomega, Iron-Constantan and Chromega-Constantan can be used at temperatures up to 1200?(650?) and Copper-Constantan can be used accurately over its entire calibration range of 750?(390?).No damage will be done by exposure to higher temperatures, but accuracies may exceed limits of error if a temperature gradient exists across the connector.
